Another battery Q. Hey it's the time for them.
OK so yes another one at these time but not the same as what I saw around!
So yes me with the 208. Fatehr sadly passed on now, but hey, at least he ain't seing this nonsence! (and he was very ill COPD so.....).
Right I seems I last filled up last month. Had done ~42 miles since then. Got in car today. Turned on. ~10 seconds later car turns electrics off.
Now, is this the car saying battery is a little low and I know better so no electrics on for you before you properly start the car. It did start fins what I did.
I have had a few pug's and they also seems to have a second (on the "computer" display) oil warning when it was only 400 ml down and was not bad but reasonable to top up.
Maybe I imagine it all! But really this is what I observe! Anyway so I toook a conveluted route to the shop (which I think is a reasonable reason for being out but would not like to be stopped and asked to turn off your engine (I mean they really should not be doing that now right?), anyway no issues and my usb/socket adaptor was saying around 13v after the journey (with engine off), so does not seem too bad. Of course later who knows. As per previous posts the car was basically sat for a year (2008 - 2008 (febs)), is a 62 so 8 ish.
So any thoughts? I assume a solar charger of simple nature is OOTQ since the socket is off when the key is removed. Is the battery end of life given it's use?
Any options any random advice? If it's stuff, stuff on amazon prime only please!

your battery is getting tired thats why its going into economy mode, it should last quite a time before doing so

But I know what you mean I really should get out the multimeter for a proper reading! Maybe tomorrow so I know what I am up against as I am meant to go collect shopping on Monday (click and collect). Which should give it a decent run hopefully.
Also thank to everyone else. Will look up on the eco mode and see if I can find details of how low it activates at. But like I said since it started fine I think it is probably overcautious! Which is a good thing here I guess.
Looked on amazon and everything seems long lead times so meh! Hopefullyy the Monday run will fix it! Note I have also been WFH for a good amount of time so It has not been out for a good run in quite a while.
Pitty I do not have the old charger I had, came in handy when an old car stopped charging and I was not going to fix as It was getting scrapped in 3 weeks! I still had to go to work still though so put it on charge every other night!

Random update. Went to get click and collect shopping so it has had a good run.
Now reads 12.91 so seems good it is holds. May check again in the morning just to see!
