These lawyers are... not great. They can't manage schedules reliably, fail to brief the hired gun rep that turns up, etc.3

As for the hired gun, it might be a retired conveyancing solicitor who is cheap, at my last appearance at a CC, (RTA), opposing counsels were two sixteen year old wet behind the ears barristers, desperately trying to earn enough to afford marge to put on their stale bread. You never know how far you can go until you go too far.2

I get how frustrating all this is. But you're a bit too focused on the forces against you ... truly, you can still fight this. The parking companies are not that clever, they bluff, they tell 'untruths', their legals are often ill-prepared, their whole business model depends on people thinking 'ooh er, they're big ... I'm small. Nothing I do will work'.NoToRobbers said:I may try to call the owner if I can find his contact details.
So rely heavily on the knowledge on this forum, read as much as you can to equip yourself for the fight back. And seriously, DO contact the land owner or land management company (it could be either) ASAP. Usually email is best. Contact the head honcho and hold your head high - the complaint must be factual, insistent, full of the knowledge that you have done nothing wrong.
If you're having trouble identifying the landowner, tell us where this happened and I for one will get googling to see if I can help.5 -
since I am the owner it make sense that I am also driving my carWrong!
It's a huge rookie mistake to appeal as driver to a private parking firm. Sooo frustrating. We see this all the time...arghhh!
If CEL used their usual sparse NTK with nothing about keeper liability under the POFA 2012, had you come here earlier and appealed as keeper you'd have had 100% slam dunk win at POPLA. It's as easy as pie to win in most POPLA cases v CEL, who might even have cancelled on first appeal.
Remember this next time with any private PCN, the first rules are:
(a) complain to the landowner to try hard to get them to call their dogs off
(b) appeal to the scam firm without saying who the driver was
Very simple advice and it would almost certainly have prevented all this and the POPLA rejection, court, the lot.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

Logical fallacy, I too own a car, however, at least rwo thirds of the time my wife drives itYou never know how far you can go until you go too far.3 -
I cant believe how irresponsible the personal data is handled by the parking operators!!!
I made a SAR request to get my data by email as I needed to see the evidence, and I got reply two months later when the POPLA appeal was already over.
Despite that the operator said to POPLA a month ago that I had the data, which was a lie.
I asked POPLA to put the appeal on hold until I get the SAR data and the evidence because it is not true that I have received them, but POPLA did not listen and went ahead with the assessment.
The operator now say they send all the data a month ago to my old address "by regular post", that is without my permission and at the place where I have seen former roommates steal and open other peoples mail.
Without much thought and my permission the operator have exposed all my data, that they should have not had on first place, to other people!
The parking operators and POPLA are clearly teaming up together, disrespecting personal rights, disrespecting laws and stealing peoples money!

Yep we know, but nothing has changed and we see almost everyone win at court stage.
As I said before, this could have been so much easier for you, so remember this next time!If CEL used their usual sparse NTK with nothing about keeper liability under the POFA 2012, had you come here earlier and appealed as keeper you'd have had 100% slam dunk win at POPLA.
