KENWOOD KIFF7017 Integrated 70/30 Fridge Freezer seems to run a-lot

I've got a brand new (7 day old) integrated fridge freezer, model above. However, I seems to run a lot and I seem to be following the same routine. It seems to run alright in the day (usually set at 4 degrees c, it's avdegrees setting). Occasionally running and then stopping. However it seems to every afternoon start running and then not turn off all afternoon or evening. I then usually turn the setting up to 5 degrees, it stops running and then put it back down to 4 degrees and it doesn't run any more. I have been doing this every evening. It then seems to be alright through the rest of the evening, morning, daytime until the afternoon when it starts running again. It makes an occasional single knock noise, usually a few minutes after it stops running. Is there something wrong with it?

Where does the unit live? In the kitchen I presume? In direct sunlight? The afternoon is the warmest part of the day in the UK, somewhere around 3pm is the peak warmth period and if your unit is sitting in direct sunlight at that time of day, well you can guess what'll happen. Also ensure there is adequate ventilation around the unit and you haven't overloaded the storage. Freezers work better when they're packed, fridges are the opposite. It's so easy for the door to be slightly ajar without realising it too.0

Hi, it's in the kitchen yes, but not I direct sunlight. It's in a flat and wouldn't say the temperature is any different.
Its ventilated to the specification and replaced a unit that was in the same place but didn't run like this one. The freezer is full and the fridge is not overloaded. It's got alarms that go off if the door is open, but I am checking they are shut in the process of trying to diagnose whether there is an issue.0
