Freezer Economy Question

We have kindly been given an upright freezer to replace our chest freezer that had gone faulty. It is a lot bigger than the three quarter size we were told it would be. (I think they meant three quarters of the way to the ceiling!) Saying that, it seems a lot quieter than our much smaller one, in fact incredibly quieter. It also has a light that comes on after opening, that goes out again when the temperature has gone back to what it was.
What I would like to know, is the fact that it is running quieter an indication that it is running more economically than the noisier older smaller chest freezer? Despite it being on the big side for what we need, we could always fill it up with economy bread and ice cubes if this indicates cheaper running costs. It is a Servis but doesn't appear to have a model on it, although I have been told it is a fairly recent one.

Fridges normally have a xxxKW/y figure ie how much electric they use per year on average I believe the lowest is a little under 200KW (for the year) a upright is normally 400ish, though i'd see if you can get the model no and look it up to compare. I'm looking myself for another freezer for the garage my current in built one is tiny already filled itMoney, Money, Money ..... Banks/Casinos/Bookies give me all you money its a poor mans world....0
