Molly so sorry you're worrying. It is scary times but hopefully it will turn out to be nothing. Hugs to you and a clip round the ear for your DS. I too cough a lot with sinusitis, hay fever and post nasal drip. Please post more too.nan xxFailure is simply the opportunity to begin again, but this time more intelligently10

In other news we managed to get a slot at Morries, so did a big shop, mainly Dad's, only to be told at checkout that they wouldn't deliver to this address. So 2hrs wasted, why couldn't they tell us that beforehand ?
Rant over, at least for today

Afternoon folks. An arduous morning was spent planting up the pots back and front, but needed a few little stops in among to ease my knees and legs. I was at the front with my big bag of compost, box of plants etc etc when a young chap walked by with a small child. That looks a heavy bag of compost, said he, be careful picking it up. But never offered to pick it up for me!! Anyway, eventually all pots were filled and, sadly, no surplus plants left over to put in the front garden. I'm not ordering any more so it will have to remain bereft of plants all summer!
MOLLY so sorry to read of your worries. The young can be so thoughtless can't they. It was probably just an innocent cough that the woman in the queue had but, even so, it can be a long two weeks when you are worried about something. And please keep posting if only to get some of your worry offloaded. We none of us have much to be joyful about at the moment but, with a bit of luck on our sides, we will have eventually.
NAN how annoying for Morries to let you go to great pains with your order and then say you are out of their area! Grr to them!
Righto, the sunshine at the back is beckoning so that;s me for the afternoon. Feet up with book soaking it up! I'm lucky to have inherited my skin colouring from my forebears who came over from the south of France in the early 1800's to settle in Norfolk. My grandad had it, as did with my mum. But my mum hated it and hid away from the sun as best she could as she said it made her look like a gypsy!
Enjoy your afternoon folks if you can and stay safe xx"If you dream alone it will remain just a dream. But if we all dream together it will become reality"10 -
Hi everyone
I'm jealous of everyone who's had sunshine today - it's been dull here today and cloudy. I've tackled the big cupboard in what was youngest DD's bedroom today - just one more box of bits to sort though.
Other than that I've spent time on my laptop, hoovered and made some phone calls.
My cooker was meant to be repaired yesterday but no-one turned up which was a bit annoying - I've got another appointment for next Monday.
Hopefully little one will be discharged from hospital tomorrow as her feeding plan is working - DD can't wait to get home. They've been there 4 weeks today, apart from the weekend before lockdown when they were allowed home for 2 days.
It's going to be hard when they're just 10 minutes walk away from me and I can't see them.
Never mind, we'll get back to normal at some point.
Hope everyone's had a good day

TA It didn't seem to be about the area and they have delivered here before. It just says they can't deliver to this address, bit confusing that one. I don't know why and there is nothing on their website, I think lots people are having numerous problems.I'm with you on the skin colour front, think Mum said there was Italian in her blood line somewhere. ( Romany perhaps ? ) One year, many moons ago when I were a young lass, I came back from a holiday abroad and a friend wouldn't speak to me. When I asked her about it she said sorry, but she thought I was an Asian lady and no-one she knew ! BTW don't think Nelski has a chance of beating me on the paint chart challenge, but it's fun doing/ chatting about it. Perhaps the young man was just being cautious, not able to help or just thoughtless ! Pah ! we oldies are made of sterner stuff anyway.Love nan xxFailure is simply the opportunity to begin again, but this time more intelligently9

Evening all,
Another lovely day here, made it twice around the back garden, accompanied by Mossy as that's usually his beat so I suppose he was checking that I was doing it properly!
Molly....don't worry about your son picking up the virus, allegedly it is necessary to have it go directly into your eyes, nose or mouth. The cough might be quite innocent.
I have never been able to get a tan, just go beetroot red, I now avoid the sun unless wearing a large brimmed hat and long sleeves!
dp1.......I hope that your granddaughter gets home tomorrow and continues to improve. I know that it is hard not to see them but we must keep them as safe as possible.......I talk to my little granddaughters through a window once a week,
Ruby...glad that you have some movement on your surgery.
Cranky.......you are certainly clocking up brownie points by your kindness today.
Stay safe everybody.......this awful time will be over

Thank you for all your kind words as you can tell from the time of early morning im still in a tizzy - we can only see what happens xI must not fear. Fear is the mind-killer.
Fear is the little-death that brings total obliteration.
I will face my fear. I will permit it to pass over and through me. When it has gone past I will turn the inner eye to see its path.
When the fear has gone there will be nothing. Only I will remain.7 -
Molly, things often seem worse in the night and thoughts can become stuck in your mind. Can you distract yourself with a game of patience, a jigsaw, word search? Much love to you x9
