Morning all
Bright and sunny here again this weather is brilliant for lifting the spirits.
So after my phone call cancelling my op's I had a phone call yesterday asking me to go in on Monday for the smaller procedure as a day patient
they are hoping to get me in and out ASAP to lessen the risk of catching Covid but its still blooming scary !! So today I am going Out Out !! for my pre op at the hospital OH will drop me off and then go round the corner to Aldi for our shopping he will either pick me up or I shall walk round to meet him its only 10 mins, once home I shall shower and wash my clothes, I have some gloves I can wear but no mask Im just hoping that I will be ok and not catch it.
Yesterday I went on a mega bike ride 11.15 miles
I was so chuffed with myself, I have ordered some cycling leggins for more comfort, but I wont be able to get out today but will do tomorrow and at the weekend and then after Monday it will be nothing till I recover.
Dinner today will depend on what we can get in the shops maybe a jacket spud or curry, will see what there is.
Right I need some marmite on toast, have good days all and stay safe xx15 -
Morning
Careful Monna that sounds remarkably like hard work to me you will lose your label of group sloth sit down and have a think about your priorities
TA thats awful lets hope they do their job and send you the drugs as a priority. Taff less said the better about the burn not sure if green is a good colour or not !! Keeping it covered and hopefully it will start to heal soon I just don't think its bad enough to bother the NHS with tbh. Ruby hope today goes OK Im sure they will keep you well shielded but I understand how scary it is.....all my best vibes flying your way
The weather looks beautiful again so will be getting out early today in the vain hope of missing the noise wars between the two lots of vile neighbours I did think about getting out really early and making sure they had no chance of a lie in with my own playlist but i guess that would make me as bad. Oh to live in a field with no neighbours. Saying that my nice ones next door sent me a lovely note about their brownies and asking if I need anything so maybe its just a first world problem.
No real plans today .....dont seem to have those anymore. Guess reading a book and vainly trying to beat nanny on the paint chart challenge and maybe making a sausage casserole in the slow cooker.
Hope everyone has a smile today with another 3 weeks ahead smiles will be precious

Good morning all,
Another sunny day here. I pulled some chocolate cake out of the freezer last night so that has been iced this morning. I've also rolled out the last of the gingerbread biscuit dough from the fridge so the HT has gingerbread people to snack on.
Yesterday turned out interesting....the HT's friend has been indoors with her mum and two toddlers for a week longer than us. Supplies of snacks for toddlers were running low so friend messaged the HT to say could he say hello from the doorstep and she'd come past our house as mum has sent her to the shop. As friend and family haven't seen anyone for even longer than us I gave her a drink and some cake and took her shopping myself. First time in a supermarket for 4 weeks for both of us and it was very strange. Friend spent the money that her mum had given her and I bought some stuff for them too. There was hardly anyone in the shop so we were done very quickly - there were a few gaps on the shelves but mostly OK. Dropped friend home and had a chat with her mum from the end of the drive. I've told friend that we have to start counting 14 days now and if we are both well at the end of those 14 days we can do the whole thing over again.
The plans for the rest of the day are to hang the washing out and then to do some weeding in the front garden.
Take care all of you and stay safe

Ruby, I'm glad they are doing something. There are videos going around of how to make a face mask from a scarf and a couple of elastic bands.
Gers, we are really struggling with the deliveries too. We've got one coming tomorrow but can't get another date at either Tesco or Sainsbury's (who finally decided to recognise Steve as on the very vulnerable list). Even staying up till after midnight isn't helping.
Steve was very busy yesterday, he mowed both lawns and installed the new shower cubicle, he's just waiting for some clear mastic to arrive to finish that off. I wasn't s much although I did manage to do some sewing. The highlight of today will probably be changing the bed.13 -
Morning all, maybe the last day of sunshine so I'm going to make the most of it.I was very productive yesterday as I mowed the back lawn and cut in around the stepping stones, I can find them at last. I persuaded Mr Fix It to cut down a fir tree, well about 3ft off the top. I wanted to take it down completely, but we compromised with a third off for now, anyway I have my eye on one that does need coming down completely, so I will bide my time on that. Last night after a long relaxing soak, I decided to cut my hair. I have left the length, but put another layer in and shortened my fringe ........ I was beginning to look like Cousin Itt
Today I don't know what I'm going to do...... I shall just go with the flow. I have found my paperwhite and I pulled out a book which says it's " A perfect sun lounger-read " so probably rubbish. I have no idea where it came from as it's not my normal type, but I'll give it a try. My Mum used to say I'd read the back of a cereal box if I had no books at hand, mind you she was much the same
I am going to make Mediterranean chicken for tea, using up some wrinkly tomatoes and peppers from the fridge. I've also stewed some apples and pears, the last of the sad fruit in the bowl, so we'll have that for pudding. Have a good day whatever you are doing.Take care and keep safe. I shall send healing vibes to the poorly and fellow tree pollen sufferers. Hugs to allnan xx
Failure is simply the opportunity to begin again, but this time more intelligently15 -
Oh goodness im so worried. One of my sons, who is not known for his common sense went to Aldi - not locally! A lady was stood behind him coughing im now so anxious and worried that he will catch corona. We DH and I are classed as vulnerable so have to be extra careful and so is he as he has a heart defect. Why oh why did he have to go we got food in not just his rubbishy bits.
OS wise i have done the washing - im doing towels much more frequently just need to get a strong person to move them on.
Sorry to butt in - i don't have friends in RL - hugs to you allI must not fear. Fear is the mind-killer.
Fear is the little-death that brings total obliteration.
I will face my fear. I will permit it to pass over and through me. When it has gone past I will turn the inner eye to see its path.
When the fear has gone there will be nothing. Only I will remain.16 -

SNOOZER - I emailed one of our local MSPs about the situation, someone from his office has replied very promptly to say that the MSP will raise it with the government. I'm not too hopeful of fast change in the situation though I feel better for trying to do something about it. Perhaps you could try your MP too??MOLLY - as others have said, it could just be a 'cough'. I am coughing occasionally but it's because I have hay-fever induced sinusitis which sometimes causes a cough. Fingers crossed he's OK.CRANKY - what a nice thing to do! Happy 14 day 'sentence'.
I've been out, took away the food waste and bottles and then wandered off to buy DM a paper. Now she's happy.
