Should dental practices/plans be giving compensation for cancelling routine treatments?

Thrugelmir, I agree that they can choose their patients, but when you are in a contract, the terms should be followed without penalising the other party. I may come out worse for it if they resent being told to compensate me from the powers up above (whoever that is). If so then I find another practice. If this is the way that they handle problems like this, how would they handle a malpractice complaint? I would not want to stick around for that.DPAS have responded saying that they will ask the practice it's ok to suspend my plan on my behalf. This is confusing because the the practice said that DPAS do not offer payment holidays. Has the practice given me the wrong information?0
