Scam email?

I have received an email from an insolvency specialist. The title of the email is just an invoice. When I check the website they have 3 reviews none really relevant and a website but the website is not available at all. I don't want to open the email to view it as it is suspicious. However it is from a named person not the usual rubbish email address you get. Would an insolvency company just email you? and with the title just being invoice 2323222? I would have assumed they would have written not just emailed.

Even if they are genuine, they don't sound the sort of firm anyone in their right mind should use. Personally, I'd forward the e-mail to Action Fraud.

Have you checked them out on google also0

Yes checked on google they have a website but it does not work they have twitter but only a basic profile and nothing recent. There is enough there to give faint impression that they are genuine. Google streetview has them at correct address. They are listed at insolvency practitioners directory however how easy is that? From my google search I am not convinced nothing up to date however there is something.
Big question is would they simply just email out of the blue and state invoice in title of email and not write a letter?0 -
Are you owed money?
Are you insolvent?
If not then definitely suspect.May you find your sister soon Helli.

I am none of those.
Would they not be trying to get money back for an insolvent client?0 -
If the money had been legitimately paid out in the normal cause of business, no.
It sounds like a scam e-mail or a case of mistaken identity. I would ignore it and delete without opening.
Wait until the lockdown is over, if you get any documentation in the post from them then by all means come back and ask.May you find your sister soon Helli.

You can open an email to read it, just don't open any attachments.1
