Hi All,

My wife and I recently got married and a number of people gave us Next vouchers as wedding presents. With the current lockdown and business uncertainty, is there any possibility of getting these vouchers converted into cash?

Thanks in advance

Only if you can sell them to someone else on eBay or gumtree etc

No chance.  Why would Next voluntarily give up revenue they've already had?

It does seem a little unfair if they go under, we are stuck with worthless vouchers.

That's the risk with vouchers I'm afraid.  I try and avoid gift vouchers, groupon, etc wherever possible.  Just a needless level of complication, restriction and risk.

Nothing unfair about it, the situation is well known up front.

That's hardly likely to become less likely if they choose to give out cash in exchange for vouchers, is it? Next's finances are relatively healthy for the sector, I can't see them going bust before you've got a chance to spend the vouchers.

Next won’t go bust. They’re probably one of the safest retailers.
