Hi all
I wanted to get some advice on something. Basically I had a subscription to a skincare service and when the corona virus started I put it on hold for 3 weeks. I totally forgot I had this and well 3 weeks later we were sitting in a lockdown and I was put on furlough.
I decided I didn't want the products because I felt I could have saved and used my cash for more important things. I noticed on the day a payment came out for the skincare... I frantically e-mailed the company beginning them to cancel my order but I got canned responses saying hey just cancel it for next time from two of their customer services representatives. Because they were American it was a while to get responses back. They then told me sorry its already been shipped which I thought was silly because they just took a payment. fast forward 2 days later of me continuing to complain they finally decided ok we will give you a refund just reject the parcel.
now the parcel was delivered... I wasn't able to reject it because it wasn't a signed for delivery and the postie silently left it in the corridor for the building.
Now Im wondering is it possible for me to still reject it? like could I take it to the postoffice and say I don't want it? or is it a case I would have to ship it back? if its the latter I guess I will hold on to it as its going to cost me quite a bit to send it back because I would have to send it abroad.
any way I appreciate any advice

If you bought it from an American company then the relevant consumer laws are those of whichever state they're in, not UK laws. Which is likely to mean you're at the mercy of whatever the retailer's terms are. The post office isn't going to accept it without somebody paying the postage.

Bigger businesses deal directly with Royal Mail rather than the Post Office.0
