Declined loan but incorrect info held

Good afternoon all,
I have applied for a loan extension with my bank Natwest, I have been declined and when I asked why they advised that the was a query regarding bankruptcy showing, and I would need to speak to the 3 credit reference agencies they us if this was incorrect, I have never been made bankruptcy or applied for this, I spoke to experian, equifax and trans union as advised and they have confirmed I do not have any bankruptcy on my file.
It has come to light that my ex-partner who moved out nearly 12 months ago, applied and went through bankruptcy for herself and this is what is showing, but surely this should on be on her and not the address and effect me.
The bank have advised there is nothing they can do, and my only option is to appeal against the loan decline, showing I am not or have not been declared bankrupt.
Unfortunately in December I lost my son to suicide, so to pay for his funeral I used my credit card as I wasn't in the right frame of mind about how to pay, now I wanted to extend my loan to pay of tge card and have a cheaper monthly outgoing, but I am not able to do this.
Can anyone advise how I get anything attached to myself or credit file removed that shouldn't be there, like my ex partners bankruptcy, as I assume it must be showing on the address.
Any help and advise would be very welcome at this stressful time for me.

    If you no longer have joint financial products, you can file for a notice of disassociation,

    It's not showing on your address, as credit files belong to individuals, not front doors.

    Hi CoE82 and welcome to the forum  :)

    You need to access your three credit files, so that you can check for data accuracy.  You speaking to Experian, Equifax and TransUnion is not sufficient.  You need to be going through the recorded data line by line...

    Sorry to sound stupid, but how do I do this, will I have to pay for a subscription to get a full report, like I said as my ex was declared bankrupt and we were associated at same address is this why its flagging up even if its not on my file.
    As you can imagine the last 4 months have not been great and this is something I did think I'd have to also deal with, also when I contacted the 3 agencies I only was only able to speak with 2 as the other was saying unless I have a paid subscription then can only email my query which I did and they replied to advise there is no bankruptcy on my file or attached to me.

    You can access your three Statutory credit files for free
    Experian = https://www.experian.co.uk/consumer/statutory-report.html
    Equifax = https://www.equifax.co.uk/Products/credit/statutory-report.html
    TransUnion = https://www.transunionstatreport.co.uk/

    Edit: As zx81 said:  "If you no longer have joint financial products, you can file for a notice of disassociation."  You would need to do that for each credit file.  But like I said, check all the data first and then you can come back here if you need further guidance.  :)

    Thanks, I have just been on Equifax and it seems my ex is down as an associate, not sure why as we never had anything in joint financial name, Equifax website sending me round the block to contact them via online help to get the association removed, do you have to do it in writing only or can it be down via online help.
    I'd assume the other 2 agencies are showing the same, strange as when I called them they did mention anything about associates.

    Thanks

    OK, I have sign up for TransUnion for free and there is nobody associated with me so it can't be them, Experian I could see on the free report but have used the option on the app to have any associate removed, on Equifax I could see my ex partner was associated in 2005, but there website just sends me around the block when trying to log into the help section so I can request I be disassociated with my ex.
    I will try and call Equifax tomorrow if they are open.
