Heating Element in Rear Windscreen Repair Needed

One element of our heating system in our rear windscreen has a small break in it. Anyone have any idea where I can get a repair kit or will any of the windscreen repair chains mend it? Any suggestions bar replace the screen welcome.

You should be able to buy a metallic paint in any good car accessory shop that is made for the job.
I used to be indecisive but now I am not sure.

Whilst I was searching online yesterday for an ice-scraper (brass-blade type) and windshield frost cover, I noticed these, at £9.99 and £12.99. Maybe you could find some cheaper way of effecting a fix.

just get the metalic paint.maplin should stock it.

now when you go to do it.......

apply masking tape to either side of the bit you are painting.
make the gap no wider than the original wire, maybe even a touch smaller
paint the paint on with a fine brush and apply it lightly.

if you dont use masking tape you will get thick lines you see every time you look in the rear view mirrie.trust me :o

All you need is some electrically conductive paint.
