Response time for DVSA Critical worker driving test

Hi, i emailed DVSA last week to book a critical driving test for May as i am a NHS worker, does anyone know how long they take to get back to critical workers? In addition what I'm concerned about is on the page they say "you will get an email if they have a test for you" so I'm confused as if they are not able to get the preferred test centre will they not email me AT ALL or will they email me an alternative test centre and time.
