Barclaycard Interest during Payment Holiday

in Credit cards
Hi all, I can see this has been touched on, but I was hoping to reach out to see if anyone has had similar discussions with them.
I am close to my credit limit on my card, I have applied for a payment holiday and understand I will need to pay interest. I could take the hit on my balance for the interest for about one month, but then the second and third moths this will take me over my limit which will incur additional charges and reporting to Credit Reference Agencies once they are reporting to them again in three (or so) months.
After reading on here that some people have had interest frozen for a number of months I contacted them this morning I was advised that I need to contact the financial assistance team and they can look at a temporary short hold (normally a month) or a forbearance plan, but this would have implications on your credit file.
My question is, what does this mean and secondly if the hold on interest is only in place for three months, and during this three months they are not reporting, will the CRA's ever know about it?
I will ask Barclaycard but I am awaiting a call back and not sure when this will be, so trying to gain an understanding before they call.
Thanks
