  • Hi, I was looking for a stock with a current income stream with potential for capital growth.

    I then compared it with
    A/ a lump of metal
    B/ a Lego set
C/ a company consisting of dreamers with test tubes and safety specs

and found that Shell came out on top wrt my objectives
Maybe you should considered in addition:
    1) Can the company continue to pay your expected income stream from it's profits?
    2) How much debt does it have compared to market cap?
    3) Are its assets at fair value?
    4) Is what it produces in demand?
    See:

Morning all, sorry for the delay in updating and funny that RDSB was mentioned as it was this stock i was trying to trade. I am not in the market to buy more given the current situation but was looking to move unsheltered holdings into an ISA to mitigate taxes for the forthcoming year.

True RDSB and other producers are having a tough time at the moment but so are many other investments and as i already hold them, im not minded to sell them but dont wish to buy more either. Ive been using the divis from them to fund buys in diversified products typically HSBC FTSE Allworld acc and similar.

I cant do a bed and sipp as the ISA cash is with a different provider than the platform on which the unsheltered holdings sit.

I'll try later in day as suggested..

PS i would/should have bought more at £9 a few weeks ago ,,,meh
Feudal Britain needs land reform. 70% of the land is "owned" by 1 % of the population and at least 50% is unregistered (inherited by landed gentry). Thats why your slave box costs so much..

In volatile markets when there's huge spikes of activity. Market makers are allowed to withdraw from quoting prices on the electronic trading system for a short period. In order to maintain an orderly market and process orders.

I bought some VWRL on Tuesday - it took three attempts and that was after a number of attempts the previous Thursday.
