Hello,
Thanks for letting me join
I was approved for New Style JSA in March
I applied 6 March
I had interview 9 March
I had acceptance 27 March
Under normal circumstances I would have signed on 27 March
I received £156.65 on 2 April because of the error no tick box signed other end
I am expecting £146.20 on 15 April.
Has there been error here should 2 April been the £146.20?
I am also severely deaf and in receipt Enhanced Pip and Standard Living. I have savings over £16 I know I cannot get UC but am I able to get diisabled, not severe element normal for Limited Capacity for work because of my hearing? It does not stop me but feel limited. I am trying not to sound greedy here but need to know what else to avoid using the Pip as I need to keep for my hearing aids as not able to wear NHS aids.
Thanks again.

If you're asking about the disability premiums then they are not payable on New style JSA. New style JSA is only paid for 6 months.Your payments should be £146.20 every 2 weeks with those dates. Increases per week start from 8th April and it will be £74.35 per week (over 25's)To claim Limited capability for work then it should be New style ESA that you should be claiming.0

You may be eligible for new-style ESA but that would be instead of JSA, and it's payable for one year if you're put in the work-related activity group, or indefinitely if you're put in the support group.

Deafness probably comes under the 'reliably' and 'repeatedly' concepts, especially if concentration fatigue makes communicating more difficult with time, and the safety aspect (I imagine any PIP mobility award would very much overlap with the going out question of ESA).0 -
Thank you. I am 39. I did not want to sound greedy but parents need help with rent and things. You can imagine cost of the hearing aids and short shelf life; anything can happen any time. I understand six months, it was after the six months just need to prepare in advance whilst keeping safe during this difficult time. So I would only get another week in September then stop. I was probably worked out with the old rate as I said began this in March.

The date you are eligible was from 6th March but you aren't paid for the first 7 days of the claim which makes the first date you were eligible for payment the 13th March. It sounds like your sign on day is Friday so on 13th March you were eligible for £10.45 (1/7th of the weekly amount) but as your claim hadn't been processed by the date, the £10.45 on to the next payment to make £156.65.0
