Pause Sky Sports today and still cancel everything in September

If I pause my Sky Sports subscription today, is that going to prevent me from cancelling Sky completely in September when my contract is up.?

No - as far as I'm aware they are only "suspending" currently for 3 months at a time -so you would be paying "full rate" before your min.term is up.

What I'm most concerned with is, if I pause my Sky Sports subscription, will that extend my contact by 3 months and prevent me
from cancelling in September when my contract would normally finish.
I don't mind resuming my payments after three month but at least I'll be paying less for a service that I'd rather be shot of now!

I had the same concern.
I renewed with Sky the other day and the gentleman I spoke to confirmed that the end date of the contract wouldn't change - Sky Sports would definitely end at the same time as my other deals. 
My deal is starting with Sky sport paused.
