Are International free phone numbers free on BT?

00800 with the extra 0 denotes the call as an international freephone number but I can't establish whether they are still free with BT.  They seemed to be in 2013 but much has changed since than so does anyone have a definite answer as I can't see it listed on the BT tariffs page

It's clear as mud, isn't it ?  Ofcom is asleep at the wheel, as always.
Presumably you meant the Universal Freephone Service, i.e. whereby an organisation can be called from many countries by dialling the same number starting with +800.  International Freephone Service is similar, but it will use a different number in each country and use that country's ordinary freephone prefix (e.g. 0800 or 0808 in the UK, 1-800 in N. America).
    The BT Price Guide states
(UFS) - Calls are free* to the caller
NB: The charges within this section are for calls from fixed line networks, unless stated otherwise.
    * Charges may apply to calls from hotels, payphones or mobile phones.
So the answer is Yes !
  • I used an international phone number for my business and it's a virtual phone number with advanced features.
