Lockdown in a City abroad and cannot leave. I am with my car and MOT and TAX expire end of the month

Hello I am lockdown in a city in Bulgaria now for weeks, and I cannot leave adn they have extended it again until 13 May now.
My car MOT expires 29th April and my road Tax 1st May. I have tried to renew my Tax online but it won't allow me without a new MOT. 
I don't want to get a fine, and i will need to drive my car home as soon as i can and boarders are open.

Can you advise ?

Have you googled to understand the new MOT extensions?  They may apply to you.  If so, you will get an MOT extension shortly before your MOT due date, which will allow you to renew you tax.

Why did you not come back to the UK when the UK government instructed you to do so on the 23rd March?

MOT can be delayed as long as you ensure your car is roadworthy.
According to this, you should still be able to tax it a,though you will need to wait to till later in the month when your MOT has been officially extended.

I didn't come back because the city was locked down already and I cannot leave without a permit, you need a permit to go to a place of work or hospital, your not allowed to go anywhere else. I have tried and the police on the exits of the city just don't let you leave.
I googled and saw the link information, but i am unsure how to tax the car online when the DVLA system refuses to renew my tax without a valid MOT certificate still? I saw only a link yesterday saying i had to make the car SORN.

I will keep looking but appreciate your help regards the MOT extension information its of great help.

So just wait for 29th and see if you can buy new tax.

Your MOT will be extended by six months.  Probably done over the weekend of 25-26 April.
You should be able to tax the car on the 27th April or thereabouts.
