He doesn't have access to her account. We think the details were saved when she purchased something.Does she have adequate measures in place eg password locked ?If in place then the purchases wouldn't have happened.Id tell her (or you do it if she allows it) to remove the card details asap.

She may not have intended him to but, as you say, details were probably saved and that means anybody using her login on that computer (please don't say there was no login setup!!!) could have spent her money.
Presumably these 167 payments (averaging a little under £20 each) must have been made over some weeks or months? Surely she must somehow keep track of her account? I appreciate being blind makes this vastly more difficult but if it is possible for her to use the computer and authorise payments when she wishes, I am at a loss to understand how so many transactions could be missed? If not the transactions the balance of the account must have been steadily dropping. Unless she is really quite well off this is a large amount that most people would notice.
What finally brought it to her attention?6 -
Sorry, but this is potentially not going to be good news.
If the details were stored in the google account, then these transactions will be showing in there and should also have the "Google" prefix in the Natwest account.
So is it possible that he knew the password to make the transactions? Or even actually set it up himself adding his mothers card details?
Natwest are correct there is nothing they can do in these situations. It is not fraud (as known family member) and there are no dispute rights.
You are at the mercy of Roblox to refund the amounts. At 11 he is of a age where many companies assume they know what they are doing.
If they do refund, then expect them to want to close his account down to protect themselves.
I hope you do get it sorted.)

thank you. From what i’ve been reading up on i think you are right. I’ve messaged Roblox on her behalf so i’ll wait to see what they come back with. Her son has no access to nothing now. Its so difficult to sort stuff and at the moment we are making assumptions as to how he got her details but we think it is via a google account. Once its over i’ll have to go down to her and get a few things sorted. From what someone else said there is something out there that will allow my friend to manage her own finances. No organisation or bank has ever said that anything like this was available. Its hard to find things when u dont know they are available. I’ll be taking over her account for the time being so i’ll keep an eye on all the transactions but this could well end up being one of life's bad experiences! Thanks again.0 -

Its hard to find things when u dont know they are available. It's a pity she's not had more useful advice from anybody after a year. You might want to have a look at the accessibility bit of NatWest's website. The big banks are all well-used to assisting disabled customers. And generally she should investigate screen-reader software to help with computer use.0 -
I use the NatWest banking app app.
This can be installed on either a tablet or a phone.
I use both speech to text and talk back apps.

If she hasn't put her card details into google for several years then those details would no longer be valid (assuming she gets a new card every 3 years) so that can't be where the payment came from. Either she has updated those details at some point or her son has taken her card and set up another payment method directly to roblox rather than through google. This isn't the banks fault in any way.0
