Hi
i have purchased furniture from LA in early March prior to them going into Administration, I took out the Barclays credit option so have not paid any money and am not due to until (I hope) my furniture is delivered....do I need to contact Barclays to confirm this as no joy so far from LA?

Yes, but with the current crisis you might struggle to contact them. I would just cancel the direct debit if you have no joy contacting them and then sort it out later.
I don't think you will be getting your furniture.1 -
I don’t have a direct debit set up as it apparently started when you receive the furniture or a month later....but nothing pending in my bank account either?
So should I just go ahead and purchase a sofa from somewhere else as bit desperate now!0 -

Hi,
Do you have an order no for Laura Ashley? If so, it might be worth contacting them.
I ordered 2 light fittings on the 18th March and then heard nothing from them until last Friday when I got an email saying 1 of them would be delivered the next day. I thought maybe that was an error and I’d get both (but I didn’t). I emailed LA to ask about my other one. The email said, amongst other things, that they are working their way through orders but going into administration and Covid had slowed everything down. It also said they wouldn’t process refunds or returns.
I’m sure you don’t want to end up with paying for 2 Sofas so worth checking.
The communcation from them hasn’t been great. Not hard to send an email to customers saying what’s going on is it?

If you purchase another sofa, what will you do if the LA one arrives?
You really need to contact them to find out what is going on. As many people will still get their orders. Of course things are even more delayed at the moment, than they would normally be.Life in the slow lane0 -
