That'll teach me to label things in the freezer

Well, I pulled out what I thought was a pizza base, and I think it is a naan bread as I can see green flecks in it now it has defrosted :o

Anyone know if I can use it as a pizza base ?

I love naan bread pizza! It does tend to be more floppy though...

I pulled out a packet of pumpkin puree to make muffins this morning only to discover that it was chick pea and potato curry!

I'm always convinced that I'll remember what everything in the freezer is---!

Try using masking tape as a cheap alternative to labels :) I do however think, oh I'll be able to tell what that is, defrosted 'gravy' turned out to be steak stew.
One day I might be more organised...........

I saw something like that in Tesco about a year ago.
They looked like pizzas, in pizza boxes. The whole "look" of the box was that it was a pizza.... but they were naan bread bases with curry toppings.

Just use the naan bread as any other bread base.
  • My nasty freezer suprise was whilst at home. dad went to the freezer (which contained half a sheep & half a Pig) felt arounf in the dark & pulled out what felt like a leg of mutton. When it defrosted & it was time to place in in the oven we discovered eyelashes & a snout - It was half a pigs head, i was totally horrified.
Needless to say sunday lunch was totally ruined!

Tonight I was hoping for chilli and got hungarian goulash! Didn't matter much to anyone.
  • My DD had cooking at school this week. As she hadn't told me in time, and I had left for work, she ha to find her own ingredients. luckily she asked the teacher if the (by then) defrosted frozen apple pieces looked right to her, and they decided that it was swede. Swede eve's pudding. Mmmm
