Old paper vouchers with no expiry date

Hi. I was having a clear out and came across some pristine 16 year old paper vouchers from Argos (£70) and Marks and Spencer’s (£25), both have which have no visible expiry date anywhere including the small print.
Should these still be acceptable?

After 16 years you're relying on the retailers' goodwill. I'm not sure either of them will still have means of processing old vouchers.

I would say no chance. Likely supplied with an accompanying receipt at time of purchase with expiry date.0

Legally yes they should be acceptable. The retailer may have no way of processing them in a store, so your best bet is to contact head office and see if they will transfer them into modern gift cards.3

They also stopped making/accepting them over ten years ago, so they would know their age
Its always worth a shout to their customer services (after Covid, don’t bother them for £25 now) but you may be out of luck0 -
I think they may accept them. They still accept the LOVE2SHOP paper vouchers so they may also accept old Argos paper vouchers. You’ll have to go and ask them.0

Thanks everyone for your advice. So far M&S have confirmed they will accept them. Awaiting the Argos response0
