Have you heard anything back? We are due to complete this friday and haven’t had confirmation that the funds will be released in time yet, our solicitor is chasing it today.TuppenceWorth said:OP.
It's now the third week for me since solicitor requested the funds from Barclays. They have been chasing it regularly but just getting messed around. The last response was "everything is up in the air so no guarantee re any time scales". So do expect significant delays.0 -
We exchanged and completed on the same day with our new build, in fact we did the same with our previous house purchase as well. It has not been a problem either time for us and we have moved in on the same day both times.

Thank you for this. I’m second guessing everything at the moment because of the coronavirus. We are due to complete this friday and haven’t had confirmation that the funds will be released in time yet, however our solicitor is chasing it today so I’m hoping everything still goes ahead this friday.RelievedSheff said:We exchanged and completed on the same day with our new build, in fact we did the same with our previous house purchase as well. It was straight forward, eventually! Nothing to do with the process but our buyers almost had second thoughts on Thursday. Eventually they decided to go ahead, and the transaction itself went through with no issues. That included paying off our mortgage and Help to Buy.2020firsttimebuyer2020 said:

Now we just have to wait to be able to go viewing again so we can buy the next house!0 -

Well we sold the house so currently don't have a mortgage. Our ongoing purchase fell through before all this so we broke the chain and sold so we wouldn't lose our buyer and price. Ours was with Nationwide who issued the redemption statement very quickly. I don't know who our buyers mortgage was with but their solicitor ordered the funds on Tuesday last week and had them on Thursday in preparation for Friday.2020firsttimebuyer2020 said:
