Iv inherited some money and want to invest 1000 pound's is now a good time to do so and I have no idea about shares or investment to be honest any advice ?

You could look into adding it to your pension, if you have one.0

Some economists are predicting a worse recession than the Great Depression in the last century. Most aren’t but it goes to show that the future is unknown. Investing is long term, stick it in your pension as an index tracked fund in the UK or European market and by the time you retire, assuming at least ten years away, chances are it’ll have done well. Make sure you check the pension charges, that’s a whole thread worth of discussion.1
