Hi
I have a cottage holiday booked for August with Blue Chip Holidays and my balance is due in June. The holiday was booked last year
As I was googling the company to see how it was managing its customers regards the COVID situation I noticed that it had applied on 3rd March to Companies house to be voluntary dissolved.
I haven't contacted them as yet but could anyone have any idea what this May mean for customers such as myself?
Thanks in advance for any information

Which company have you actually booked with? Their website currently says "Blue Chip Holidays is a trading name of Vacation Rentals (UK) Ltd" (which looks fine on Companies House).1

I booked with blue chip holidays it's that name that has applied to companies house0

Do you mean you booked with these people? https://www.bluechipholidays.co.uk/
If you scroll to the bottom of that web page, it says:Blue Chip Holidays is a trading name of Vacation Rentals (UK) Ltd.
Company Registration Number 00965389.And here's their companies house listing: https://beta.companieshouse.gov.uk/company/00965389
So you're OK - Vacation Rentals (UK) isn't being dissolved.
If you're interested, the history seems to be:
- in 2016, Blue Chip Holidays Ltd was bought by a company called Wyndham Vacation Rentals (UK) LTD
- in 2018, Wyndham Vacation Rentals (UK) LTD changed their name to Vacation Rentals (UK) Ltd
- I guess Vacation Rentals (UK) Ltd don't need the registered company called "Blue Chip Holidays Ltd" anymore, so they're dissolving it. But they're continuing to use the trading name "Blue Chip Holidays".
