    The instruction would almost certainly have said "with immediate effect" or similar.
    Invesco will almost certainly say that they acted in good faith and you need to pursue your brother for your loss resulting from his acting without the agreement of all executors.
    The obvious way forward is to simply instruct Invesco to repurchase the funds immediately. If there is a small loss from a few days out of the market, that is just tough luck - it could easily be the other way round.
    A breakdown in relations between the executors would cost far more than a few days out of the market so it is not worth worrying about.
    Bobziz You can keep the ISA invested for up to 3 years, which would give it a good chance of recovering existing paper losses.
    There is definitely no need to delay distribution of the estate waiting for a market recovery - the beneficiaries can either hold onto the shares if distributed in-specie, or repurchase them if distributed as cash.
