Dealing with Insovency Practice

Hello, this seemed to me the best place to ask but do correct me if I am wrong.
I was made redundant 13/3, company went into liquidation which was forced by the bank after a failed attempt to sell. After it happened we all sat down briefly with the insovency practitioner who seemed nice they helped with questions and sent our paperwork through by the Monday and generally promised to help us with anything we needed.
Week later I received new paperwork from a different company saying they had taken the process over, now these guys are completely useless, I have requested my P45 from them via email and phone 4 times now and I'm not getting anywhere. Is there anything I can do about this or is it something I just have to put up with?
Thanks in advance.

You dont really need a p45, with everything else going on, why is it a priority?0

Because my new employer is asking for it repeatedly actually. They have said they need it to ensure I'm not placed on emergency tax, I havent had a wage since February and its because of everything else that's going on it a priority to me unfortunately, every penny counts at the moment.0

You don’t need a P45 as it is the new tax year. Just fill in an employer start checklist which is available on the hmrc website. If you are placed into emergency tax it will be refunded through your payroll within a few pay periods1

Also it's not your employers problem if you're on emergency tax.

Wow everyone is really nice on here
I'm asking because my current employer is asking me for it. Maybe they are nice people and dont want me to loose out unnecessarily, I'm no expert so I thought I would take my lead from them and they seem to believe its important. So I thought I would ask here, if I had all the answers I wouldn't bother asking would I?
Edit - forgot to add is there nothing I can do about the insovency practice are they not regulated by anyone?
Thanks0 -

"Hi Boss, sorry cant seem to get a copy of my P45. As you know my old company has gone into liquidation and I'm not getting much help. I've filled out the new starter form <hand form over>. Thanks"
The insolvency practice is regulated, but a missing P45 is so low on the list that it wouldn't even warrant a response.
I understand you're concerned, but hundreds of thousands of people every year fill out new starter forms for various reasons, not receiving a p45 is one of them0
