BA amex vs Plat amex

hi all, I currently use a BA anex and spend around 1k pcm on it, im looking at getting the £25 plat card aswell fir the cash back rewards.

I see I can earn up to 125 in the first few months providing I spend 3k which I will. As I akreasy have an anex card will I be able to take advantage of this opening offer ?

Also, I'm looking at getting an interest free card, MBNA have one for 26 months 0% interest but I wanted to check if this is 26months interest free or would this only be interest free on money spent in the first few months or would it be all money spent over the 26 month period?

Thanks in advance

    Is Platinum really only £25? I could swear it cost me over £500 last year.

    If it is the MBNA balance transfer card then is is up to 26 months in balances transferred in the first few months of opening. The spending. Card works in a similar way. It’s all laid out on the website for each card type. It is NOT 26 months of interest free use

    Yes as the BA cards are “separate” from the normal cards. So you should still earn the signup bonus.

    Is that the MBNA "Dual Offer" card you're looking at? The policy on purchases is as follows;
    "Pay no interest for 26 months from account opening on the purchases you make in the first 60 days." Here's a link to the information summary for that card - https://www.mbna.co.uk/content/dam/mbna/pdfs/summary-box/balance-transfer-and-purchase.pdf

    There have been other cards that allow 0% on purchases for the duration of the 0% period, such as the Amex Rewards Credit Cards and Santander All-In-One card. 'Fraid MBNA's terms don't appear to be as favourable in that respect!

    Not true, although it used to be the case. If you have had any Amex personal card in the preceding 24 months, no signup bonus. The exceptions are the BA Premium Plus (not the free BA card) and the Platinum Charge Card (not any of the Platinum cashback credit cards).
  • You won't get the bonus as you already have an AMEX card.
