Redundancy with notice pay..How does this affect JSA

Hi All,
I was made redundant at the end of March with a job I had for only 5 months. They say they would pay me till mid-April without me having to work the notice. If I was to claim JSA? Would it be from mid-April or the end of April when I will get the last paycheque from the company?
Trying look through the threads so answer and the internet with no luck

You'd only be able to apply for new style JSA if you have made the NI contributions. See eligibility.

If you are not able to apply for nsJSA, then it will be Universal Credit which you can apply for now but they will take into account any payments within the assessment period.- All land is owned. If you are not on yours, you are on someone else's
- When on someone else's be it a road, a pavement, a right of way or a property there are rules. Don't assume there are none.
- "Free parking" doesn't mean free of rules. Check the rules and if you don't like them, go elsewhere
