Funeral Plans

Options
I have an elder relative who has a funeral plan.
In the current crisis (covid-19) they are worried they will not get the service they have paid for.
What would happen if this was the case?

Are you thinking in terms of a refund ?  How comprehensive is the policy ?
Never pay on an estimated bill. Always read and understand your bill
  • Sorry, new to this, I've moved my car insurance question to to its own thread.
    My daughter is fully comprehensive.

What Robin may be leading towards is that policies don't always cover full costs in 'normal' times, and there are various 'fixed costs' in there which may mop up most of the policy.

The other possibility, depending on what the plan covers, is that it pays out in two stages: first the basics, then the balance for a larger service at some point in the future.

But the only way to find out what's possible (and indeed what's covered) will be to ask the plan providers.
