So what you are saying that they signed the document as well and they a right and I get nothing as they have listed me as an unsecured creditor0

What does your solicitor say about all this?
They were the ones who advised you to sign the document and (hopefully) they are legally qualified whereas the majority on here are not.
Also, as you worked for the company for 18 yrs you must have some idea of how financially sound they wereIf you are querying your Council Tax band would you please state whether you are in England, Scotland or Wales0 -
A lot of people have said to me why did you solicitor advice you to sign the contract to terminate my employment and then receive payment up to 14 days later. Would you sell a car and say give me the money in 14 days. Well I have asked the question and the answer was I am on long term leave due to covid-19. Everywhere I turn I am in a hole with no way out. As for the company finances as I was sales manager I could see there was plenty of money coming into the company. The problem was were it then went which I had no control over. I was told most of the money went into directors wages and directors pension pots0

If you are referring to a settlement agreement then your only cause of remedy is to claim breach of contract and damages in the County Court or High Court (or, in Scotland, in the Sheriff Court). You could bring this against the named directors of the company but there are no guarantees you would win.
Have you checked Companies House to confirm they have actually closed down the business?
Also, if it was a Settlement Agreement then you would of chosen your own solicitor to advise you, if you believe he or she acted irresponsibly (such as rushing you to sign the document with being given full and impartial advice on the consequences of such signature) then you are entitled to seek redress against them by submitting a complaint, you should contact their offices (or read any information you were given when you engaged them).I used to be known as ableandy but can't get into my old account anymore0 -
Why would they have done it out of spite? If anything they would have been better off to keep you as an employee then the government would pay you and you would not be a creditor agaisnt the company.

utv270 said:While off work with work related stress I agreed with my employer to terminate my employment through mutual consent. The company had a contract drawn up through their solicitor and my solicitor suggested I sign it. The contract stated my employment would terminate on 13/3/20 and I would then receive 12 weeks notice pay within 14 days. I never got the notice pay as the company filed for voluntary liquidation just after I signed the contract. I had previously asked my employer to make me voluntary redundant as I had my hours reduced for the last 18 months of my employment. I feel my employer has done this deliberately and has left me penniless. I have contacted the liquidation company who said I would be a unsecured creditor and I would get nothing
please help
What was the actual date they went into liquidation? You say that the end of your employment was 13/Mar/20. Was this the same day as you signed the contract? If they went into liquidation between you signing the contract and 13th March, then I would expect that you would be entitled to statutory redundancy pay from the government.
Caveat - I am not qualified in this area, but have done A LOT of reading recently. Check the Gov.uk website, local Citizen's advice, or go back to your solicitor.

I signed the contract on 13/3/20 And the agreement was to pay me 12 weeks notice pay within 2 week. the company filed for liquidation on 20/3/20 and never paid me. I have spoken to the liquidation company on many occasions asking for an RP number as insolvency services are asking for this in order to pay my notice pay. The liquidation company will not give me an RP Number because they are trying to say I am owed compensation and not notice pay. 4 months later I still have not received a penny0
