Nope.
Made an offer via eBay using that mechanism. The deposit was paid direct over PayPal separately.

Ok. He sounds like a neanderthal.

However....
He has said he would refund it by PayPal in his own time. So I would question why the constant statements to collect the deposit in person.

When did he say it would be refunded? And what is a reasonable timescale for this to happen?

He certainly seems thuggish enough.

I don't know, he kept saying I was welcome to come anytime but never offered up any.

I'm reasonably certain there was no intention of returning it.

There was never a deadline specified.
I assumed immediately on / within a day or so of my refusing the vehicle.
Which was done March 16.

And thank you. Happily he is vastly improved now. As am I after forgetting about this. If anyone wants to flag him for running two accounts or whatever the issue was, by all means please do, but having this pushed from my mid for the last couple of days has been great - no bad reason for the slip, just helping out around where I am.

Thanks for the attempts but I don't see it going anywhere based on just my pushing things, and PayPal's reaction whom I was expecting to be the broker has shot my faith in their service.
