So, I bought a new car before the lockdown, what are my rights...

Hello,
On March 21st I bought a new car from a dealer. I paid the deposit and have the vehicle order and the purchase invoice for my old car as trade in, along with signed contracts. Not long after this, lock down happened.
Whenever businesses open back for business, can the garage cancel my order, e.g. because they now think my car will be worth much less or they don't want to honour the price we agreed for the new car?
Thanks for any help.

I would imagine that they will be desperate for any sales so I would be amazed if they cancelled your car order.
i would have thought this will go the other way where you’ll be able to get a new car for a lot less than you’ve previously agreed to.1 -
Thanks. You say that, but I checked we buy any car the other day and the value of my car has almost dropped in half to 10k from 19k0

Dealers don't use we buy any car to price up used cars .

Thanks, I was just using WBAC as an example of what might be happening after corona with the economy. My question remains the same: is my car order/invoice a binding sale or can the showroom decide to cancel/reduce the trade-in/increase car price if it takes another month or two for businesses to re-open.thanks.0

WBAC is not a reliable indicator - the actual value of 2nd hand cars hasn't dropped much, they just don't want any.
What do the terms and conditions say with regards to your trade in? You should have terms on paper if it's a main dealer0 -
I thought all,webuyanycar valuations had been suspended.0
