Hi Guys. We have our car finance with Oodle, we have never missed a payment, we applied for their coronavirus help in March. They have now come back and asked for 3 months worth of old bank statements from 2 bank accounts and as my husband is self employed an SA302 form which I'm sure our accountant can provide. However does this not seem  excessive? 3 months previous bank statements will tell them nothing as we have never had an issue paying for the car until now and will be happy to pay again when the self employed help is provided? 

Any suggestions would be appreciated!

If you want the help I'd send them what they want.

They will be ensuring that the payment holiday is in your best interests and will not put you in even further hardship down the line. They have a duty of care to check these things out.

These mortgage and loan holidays are a little worrying to me. They aren't free money and can end up being a slippery slope in to greater debt.

I applied for 3.month break from paying car never missed payment was sent form in email to fill in which I did so only to find they have taken this months payment phoned up to be told they will get in touch but not told how a complete waste of time and energy better to pay and struggle than to waste time with them . Website says “we hope you and your loved ones are safe and well” what a load

I'm not sure that having an overloaded customer services dept necessarily means they wish ill on your family.
