    What on earth happened to "we're all in this together"? Or does that only apply until those are better off than others (such as those with money) are affected?
    Those with savings more than the allowance should be expected to use these savings to live on.  Why on earth shouldn't they? It doesn't matter if it's their inheritance, rainy day money or a deposit for a house - like the rest of us, they should dip in to their savings as and when it's necessary.

    Unfortunately the way the benefit system is set up, it rewards people who don't save. 
    First time I've seen our level of benefits being described as "a reward". Are you sure you understand the system and what it does to people such as the old, the disabled and those with children?
    • All land is owned. If you are not on yours, you are on someone else's
    • When on someone else's be it a road, a pavement, a right of way or a property there are rules. Don't assume there are none.
    • "Free parking" doesn't mean free of rules. Check the rules and if you don't like them, go elsewhere
