How strange, I'm convinced I had replied to this yesterday as I recall going to the search page I use :/
https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/search?adv=1&search=&title=%2226%2F03%22&author=&cat=72&tags=&discussion_d=1&within=6+months&date=today is pretty good, then just change the end date. On the old site, this method of searching wasn't the best as there was a limit to the number of comps it showed. However, there seem to be far less comps posted now - not being able to change the number of posts per page isn't an issue either.
Sorting by end date as we used to is no longer possible, although I'm finding it's pretty much impossible to comp that way any more. There's no point getting too far ahead as the "Entered / skipped" buttons only show on the main page. They don't show on searched pages, so you still have to open each thread all over again.
Maybe time to re-think how you comp :( ?

Enter them as added, my preference is bookmarking (which I don't use for anything else) as that can be done from the list of threads so removing the need to open them just to mark them off which saves considerable time (you can add entered as well when you actually enter them) - then there is no need to search as you just start at the front each time and work back to the first one with no comment that you have already marked.  (You can also just drag and drop them into a folder with chrome and probably other browsers so you can do them at your leisure later while keeping up to date as they are posted).

I used to do comps this way.
I'd make a note of the date and time I'd finished entering last, then I'd start there and work my way through to those just posted. I'd enter as I went, thanking as this was the way to track entries then. Obviously when the entered button came along, this was a bonus. If time was short, I had 3 folders, one 1st-10th, then 11th-21st, and 22nd-31st and I'd pop the MSE page for comps in there and go back when I had more time. I could easily see which comps needs to be entered ASAP.  Sounds more complicated than it really was!

Similar - I used to look at the titles when they were added (the hover was really useful with that) and any to enter I either opened in new tabs to enter then or drop them in a folder to enter later - I red crossed everything as I went so next time I would go through them ignoring the red crossed ones until I reached the first post with no replies that had a red cross - sometimes I would sort by date posted if there seemed  to be a lot of bumped posts.
