Can someone please point me in the right direction.
1. I relocated to be with my new husband on 27th March to begin new job 1st April.
2. New job withdrew offer due to C19 so I find myself unemployed for the first time in my life.
3. Husband is a self employed teacher no work since Friday 20th April.
4. We have no savings some debt which moving in together would of been sorted really fast.
5. House is in hubby's name and mortgage.
6. Hubby owns 2nd house buy to rent with a 50k mortgage that the rent pays. No physical income from this.
7. Hubby can't claim jsa
8. It looks like we can't claim universal because of 2nd house.
9. My ex employer won't offer furlongh.
10. We have zero money coming in with bills to pay and the only thing that seems likely to receive is £73 a week jsa for me.
Is there any else we are missing?. We have both worked all our lives paid taxes etc but because my hubby purchased a second house as a way of income for old age we can't do a thing.
I have private pensions but am 52 so can't utilise these until 55.
Any advice or suggestions we are desperate.

I assume your husband has got a 3 month mortgage break? Have you looked at the self employed grant for him at

I take it that the value of the second house significantly exceeds the mortgage?0 -

Presumably that was before you accepted that job offer, yet had already given up your old job and spent money relocating?
If so, you must have been aware there was a significant risk of a period of no work? So what had you planned? Especially as you had ongoing debts to service?
You say husband is self employed teacher, with no work since 20 March? Easter holidays were due to start for most schools from 3rd April, so presumably he was not going to have any work for 2 weeks, so what were his plans???
