Barclays standing order trouble

Just curious if someone else has had trouble with setting up their standing order date with Barclays?
I follow a few simple rules: set up SO at least two weeks before payment date; make sure payment date is not a bank holiday or weekend; double-check all info is correct.
So I had set up a SO for today Friday, 10/4) but when looking at the Barclays "calendar" it's scheduled to get paid on Tuesday the 14/4. I used Online banking to do this.
Also, I've had a weird experience with their website a month ago when I was deleting an old SO. After deleting it I looked at my two remaining SOs I noticed the date, amount and reference were correct, but the name of the SO had been changed with the one I had just deleted...
Just wondering if someone has had any similar experience?

Barclays only seem to pay standing orders on working days. When a standing order date falls on a weekend or bank holiday, they pay it on the next working day.

So Friday 10th is a bank holiday - tuesday 14th is the next working day.

It's not just Barclays, none of the mainstream banks pay Standing Orders on Bank Holidays or at weekends, they never have done.

I have heard that Tesco Bank and Monzo pay Standing Orders on non-working days, but Barclays, Lloyds, Halifax, RBS, NatWest, TSB, Santander, etc don't.

I think I'm going mental now... I totally forgot that Good Friday is today!
Sorry guys, I guess my self-isolation is playing tricks on my memory :hushed:

Yep. I think the words 'Bank' and 'Holiday' are the clues.
I came into this world with nothing and I've got most of it left.
