Random credit in bank account

Hi,
hopefully someone can help, my bank have been less than helpful.
I received a small credit into my account yesterday, I wasn't expecting anything and I don't know where it has come from. The reference is just my name and TFC, so F FrogTFC. Does anyone have any ideas what this might be? I have tried Googling to see what I could find but all it seemed to come up with was tax free childcare, I don't have any children in childcare so it can't be that.
It is only quite a small amount but I've read some threads of scams and things with bank accounts and I'm just a little concerned. does anyone have any ideas what this might be or have experienced this before?
Thanks x

How much is it for?
If as you say a small insignificant amount leave it there and wait for your bank to remove it from your account.
Should anyone else ask you to refund them due to a ''mistake'' etc tell them to go to their bank to get the refund. That way you won't lose out if it is the beginning of a scam.1 -
Did you open a Help to Save account in April 2018 and put money in it? If you did, It's your 2 year bonus. HTH
Sorry! Did the middle of my sentence interrupt the beginning of yours!1 -

Could very well be. Would be about right for a £1k holding.nick74 said:

@castle96 if the random credit drops to about £0.58 in June, then that's likely to be your answer. Always assuming you hold this product. Otherwise, its back to the drawing board.1 -
The TFC might just stand for Transfer Credit
How are you viewing the transaction, I find that if I am viewing in my bank app, if I "click" the transaction it shows some more underlying detail.
P.S Which bank is it?0
