Weve got a few branches, and 2 broken chests of drawers we'd usually take to the local tip, but its closed indefinately for obvious reasons. Was going to burn it all, but reading reviews the galvanised bins people use seems to fall apart ofter 4 or 5 burns - any other way of getting rid of this waste please?

Keep the chests and wait until it re-opens.
Leave the branches outside to decompose naturally.
Not ideal I know but we aren't living in an ideal world right now.1 -

I know you want to get rid of stuff, but burning things and creating smoke which may make it into the room (open window) of someone who is bed bound could cause them a serious issue. My friend certainly had this and didn't have the strength to get up and close the window, luckily her husband could be there.2 -
Actually, you guys are right. sorry hadnt given it proper thought. I think spending more time at home and looking at the ever growing pile of stuff in the garden has blown out of proportion a bit.. It'll stay there until the tip reopens.

You could always get a bit of exercise sawing/smashing it into smaller bits, and make it easy to transport when you are able!

If it's fine enough you could use it as a mulch!0

Or turn it into small growing beds....
