Yes you can get travel insurance. No it wont cover Covid-19.  Its your own personal choice if you book a holiday or not.

Any insurance purchased now will exclude cover covering Covid related issues.

You will need to read the terms and conditions for exclusions relating to any other medical conditions.

Hang  on to your money, don't book anything, how do you know that the business / planes / hotel etc will still be in business next year.

If it were me I wouldn't book anything for many months.  No one has any idea how long restrictions might be in place in different parts of the world.  Nor do we know if covid-19 will surge again once restrictions are lifted or the seasons change.

I'll be asking my insurers tomorrow, but as this Covid19 is never going to go away, (AFAIK) then how the heck are we supposed to travel in the future and be covered for this illness?
Confused as to how I can book future holidays.

    Thoughts?

Proof of vaccination , possible e-visa system ( that was already on the cards in Europe) presented on departure and possibly also on arrival.

Vaccine will be found by the looks of it by late this year .

Travel insurance will require vaccination for travel cover.

So no-one can book until there is a vaccine which is not likely to be for a while.
    E-visa?
Proof that I have already had it ?(test for this is still a way off).
Not going to help the travel industry any time soon then

Not sure that is relevant for diseases, just seems to be another form of ID.
If I can get through I'll be interested to see what the insurers say.

I mean it's a method for pre authorization of travel to European countries , they could add the requirement of a recent covid test that is negative for entry to say Spain . The USA could do the same .
