Hi guys
just had an email from solicitor to say the vendors are happy to complete. He is asking if we want to go ahead during the current time as he believes it is allowable to move as the property is empty.

Also means that my partner can get started on the move when I’m at work and he is waiting to go back to work.
Would you do that. We need to exchange and get closing statements for the htb isa

We would.
We are also exchanging and completing simultaneously on 16th. My solicitor prefers to do just that due to current situation.
We are also moving in an empty house and we will do the move ourselves
Goodluck to your exchangesave for the rainy days0 -
I'm also exchanging completing same day on 14th April! Empty property as of today. Been house hunting for 1 year now with 4 houses fallen through. Manage to snag one just as it popped up on the market in Feburary for £100,000 cheaper - thank my gut. Omg.. I just want to get inside my house and hide-out forever! I feel like im in limbo with everything that's going on.

We are exchanging and completing simultaneously on the 17th April. Like yourselves it is a new build property and we are moving ourselves in.0

I would only exchange and complete on the same day. If you exchange and then for some reason can't complete (solicitors/lenders close etc) then you'll be in a world of trouble.

We are exchanging on a new build, even though it it's partially built and completion will be delayed.0

We decided to tell the solictor to hold off completing but we have our side of contracts signed and we can drop them off on Tuesday when they reopen.
one thing that is worrying me is the talk of exchange deposit and mortgage deposit on the help to buy isa website. We have ten percent of the purchase price saved do we need more money now.Mortgage free wannabe
