  • hi there
i have had my solar panel for about 5 years now.  As the company i was with, MyPlanet, went bankrupt i have had many companies trying to get me to sign up with them regarding mis selling of solar panels and returns would be quicker and much more than i am currently getting.
The company i have working for me is called Parkerwall solicitors.  i just want to know is their anything out there about being mis sold solar panels, if anyone out there has applied and won compensation or had your finance paid back in full.  I would guess its similar to the PPI mis selling?
i am not sure so can anyone help me out there.. much appreciated.

Did you pay cash, or get a loan?
Over the past 20 years there has been a history of solar systems(initially solar hot water) being mis-sold with outrageous claims of savings. It was/is almost standard practice for the firms to go into liquidation, and then start up a similar firm with a different name and the same people running the firm.
So customers who paid cash will have great difficulty in recovering money. As indicated in the posts above, the best bet for those who took out a loan is to claim against the credit company.
