awaiting decision

Applied for a credit card (abbey)on Monday morning, and they said the decision would have to referred to the underwriters . Is this just a way of saying you have been declined? How long would you expect the decision to take?

No, you may still be accepted.

With Abbey, it's anybody's guess, unfortunately.

Since Santander took over the operation from MBNA last July, customer service has deteriorated. Not a good choice, IMO, if you're in a hurry.

When you will be accepted for the card and they will tell you that you will receive the card in 7 to 10 days, count double that, my card took one month to arrive. Was told the password and the rest to manage my account online would be send in 10 days max, it has been three weeks now and I am still waiting for my password.mañana mañana.:wall:
