Wayfair - Order Delayed, Yet item showing as available on 2 day delivery?

I can't seem to get a straight answer out them as to why this would be.
Ordered the item a week a go, was put back for expected delivery tomorrow, but now put back to 7th August!
Yet item product page is showing it can be ordered for delivery in 2 days!
Customer service are quick to reply via messenger and phone, but only to say that they have messaged the warehouse.
Anyone had something like this happen to them?
Wonder if my delay is genuine and they are enticing sales advertising false expected delivery dates, much sooner then they will be, and then their orders will be delayed?

The warehouse may be short of staff due to absences. The couriers may be delayed in picking up the orders due to staff shortages and/or extra demand for deliveries.2

That still doesn't explain why they would then not change the delivery date on the product page?
My order did show next day delivery when i placed it last week, it then went to the 9th April and the product showed out of stock.
3 days ago the product came back in to stock and is showing next day delivery, yet my order has been pushed back to August!

Your message does say on or before August 7th. That may indicate you are getting it earlier than you think e.g, in a couple of weeks. As a complete guess I would suggest that they didn’t have any in stock until August when you ordered the item. Since then a customer has returned one and they now have one available. As a result you may get yours earlier.1

Although both colour variants went out of stock at the same time, and back available at the same time.
I wonder if due to the covid situation if they are prioritising orders in some way.
I would just appreciate an honest answer from them as to when i can expect delivery - it was 1 day when i ordered, then 8 days, and now this.
If i don't get anywhere by this afternoon i'll cancel the order, i'm too old for guessing games.
One bonus is i don't have a refund to chase, as i chose to pay via Klarna and they can't charge me until the item is dispatched - even the initial payment has dropped out of my account.0 -
Do you need this box to self isolate outside0

That is plainly not the case during the current crisis and, as you state, you haven't in fact even been charged yet.0

They’re seeing record sales and their share price is rocketing.0

A look at the Amazon site shows many items "no longer available", for example.Any large online retailer will have a website that automatically sets stock status on products which will be driven by numerous factors (not just the ones I listed) as they have thousands of lines so it’s impossible to manually set stock levels per product.Amazon sell a lot of marketplace items from 3rd party sellers who will be suffering so you will see a few products out of stock. Amazon themselves I find are doing very well with their stock levels. It’s an unfortunate situation but some online retailers are doing very well out of lockdown. Naked wines for instance have announced that they will beat their sales forecast for the year.0

Well out of the blue i got a message last night that the item would be delivered today, and it did arrived early this morning - even though the online status hadn't changed.
All is forgiven, a few gremlins in the system is the least that can be expected at this time.
Bravo Wayfair.2
