Posted this on another category but it was suggested I post on this category
Can anyone help with a Carrera Crosscity E bike x2 purchased from Halfords in Aug 2017
The batteries were stored as per the owners manual and last week decided to charge the batteries with the charger showing as green
that told us the batteries were fully charged . Put them in the bikes and no power showing
Visited the local store and they have told us we are not in the two year warranty so need to buy 2 batteries at a cost of £300 each
how do we stand with taking this issue further with Halfords as they will not listen to our plea

You've posted in the same board again. And somehow posted your forum profile?

Just an educated guess, but with a lot of e bikes you have to charge the batteries up regularly ( once a month.?) Could this be the case with yours? Reference to it here https://forum.cyclinguk.org/viewtopic.php?t=121219

I'm sure someone will sort it out for you!*  Probably my fault for suggesting also posting on the Public Transport and cycling board.  Ooopps - sorry!

Jenny - actually I was going to suggest looking at the forum hollydays has suggested.  CyclingUK is the main cycling body in the country and you should find an answer there.  I'm not sure if you need to be a member of CyclingUK to start a new topic, though.

*I've reported and asked for this to be merged with the new thread on Public Transport and Cycling - I think that's a better place

The link I added refers to the same bike.
