Hi everyone. I live in poole and have been stuck without a car for two weeks I'm on my own with three children. A friend has taken damper off and I have new one but we cannot get the bolt off. Do not have a windy gun etc. Would anyone be able to do this for me please and for how much. I'm near Poole park
Much appreciated thankyou

Sounds like you need a mechanic, not a forum.0

A garage won’t want to touch a half arsed job.

Assuming this is a spring over damper arrangement and the bolt is the top bolt that keeps it all in tension. If you don't have the correct tools leave well alone. The spring will have enough energy to cause serious damage, injury or death if the bolt is released without compressing the spring.
Take the complete assembly to a garage with the new damper and they may swap it over for a sensible fee. Do you have the right kit to safely reinstall the strut and to sort the alignment once back together if this is on the front.0
