Can I resign during a Furlough?

Hi.
Obviously I think I can resign during a Furlough. But will they still pay me my normal notice period? And am I allowed to start my possible new employment a little early before my notice period ends?
I would love a cheeky redundancy pay out from my employer but I don't think they're suggesting this at the moment. I've been with them over 14 years....can I suggest to them a redundancy pay out? sorry. I have no idea on any of this! Business law is not my forte.

Employment law would apply, not business law.
You can resign whenever you want to, you are only obliged to give the notice required by your contract or by law, if not specified.
There is nothing to stop you negotiating an earlier leaving date with your employer, but any pay would correspondingly finish on the same date as your employment. However any leave not taken by you must be paid for. They would have no reason whatsoever to pay you any redundancy money, especially as you aren't redundantIf you are querying your Council Tax band would you please state whether you are in England, Scotland or Wales0 -
Would they need to pay you the 'normal' pay rate or the furloughed pay during the notice period? I know holidays need to be paid at the 'normal' rate so would 30 days notice be 30 days pay plus outstanding holidays or could the employer make you take the holidays during the notice period?0
