I am hoping for some help on this one. I understand that a score is irrelevant and that a history of good payments is much more beneficial to lenders. With that in mind and having also read that dormant accounts aren’t great I try to utilise my very (shop direct account) every so often. However on checking when I take out the pay3 option they don’t report to CRA am I missing the point somewhere along the line? Is it perhaps because no interest is incurred? Is what I am doing a senseless in general? My thought behind this is I usually depend on the very for Christmas purchase so rather than have it it dormant throughout the year I will usually use around 20% of the credit available.
thank you,
Mike

Which CRA's have you checked?
Maybe they don't report to all 30 -
My Very account shows as pretty much dormant on Equifax (apart form the odd, on-time marker the rest is just no information) but on TransUnion, it shows as active and reports every month. Experian, it seems to update every time they increase my limit (1-2 times per year), the rest of the time it just shows unclassified. All three report the correct balance.0
